ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Understanding OSHA Compliant Construction Activities and enforcing compliant actions of workers and subcontractors; bottom line, keep our project and its workers SAFE.
- Prefer experience in residential contracting (concrete, wood framing, and interior & exterior finishes)
- Some Knowledge of Rough Carpentry and General Construction including:
- Layout of Foundations & Walls- Square
- Installation of Hardware, small accessories
- Installing Wood Guard Rails for safety
- Light Labor Work as Needed
- Be able to lead by example when necessary
- Review builder packages and cut sheets
- Monitor & pre-approve variances in cost/schedule
- Ability to manage multiple projects or manage labor crews
- Scheduling and directing the daily activities at each project, and taking necessary action to assure that the project objectives of cleanliness, safety, price, schedule, quality and process are met
- Manage multiple subcontractors' activities
- Read Construction Plans and Specifications
SPECIFIC EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE:
- College Degree preferred but not necessary with some construction experience
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Frequently sit, stand and walk
- Regularly required to talk or hear
- Frequently required to use hands or fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls
- Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds
- Vision abilities to include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
- Temperature in the workplace is typically moderate
