This position is responsible for Estimating and Purchasing functions for Single Family Residential, including creating and distributing PO's, updating price files, managing pricing programs, and vendor relations.

  • Understanding current best practice residential construction methods and standards

  • Residential Estimating, Purchasing, Job Budget review and analysis

  • Assist with Negotiating Corporate programs with National Manufacturers and Local Dealers

    • Rebate and Discount programs with acceptable criteria

    • Quarterly rebate applications with all applicable manufacturers

    • Product review and confirmation, for future projections

    • Network Dealers and Manufacturers for consistant end user pricing

  • Monitor & approve field issued variances, reasons, types, etc.

  • Assist Trouble-shooting reoccurring material concerns to correct future projects

  • Update commodity price files monthly, or as often as market requires

  • Assist with Subcontractor negotiations, as required throughout each community

  • Maintain good records for quotes, scopes of work, product requirements, etc.

  • Create new job schedule for each community start, based on internal forecast

  • Reconcile material invoices as required, to support AP

  • Check and manage lead times with critical materials (windows, trusses, etc.)

  • Manage material credits with suppliers to ensure total cost balances for project

  • Assist managing site related costs/equipment to report weekly

  • Adjust and approve all Measurement PO's once invoices are received

  • Reconcile job budgets as actual items are paid throughout construction

  • Submit RFQ's and Scopes of Work for bid solicitation on new product

  • Review weekly payables for any concerns before submitting to AP


  • College Degree preferred but not necessary with equivalent experience


  • Frequently sit, stand and walk

  • Regularly required to talk or hear

  • Frequently required to use hands or fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls

  • Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl

  • Vision abilities to include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus
